PineClan cats are the sneakiest of all. To the other Clans, they are known as "Cats of the Shadows." They have developed unique hunting and fighting techniques, which includes hit-and-run tactics. They have also developed an ability to move soundlessly across the forest floor, a useful trait in combat.

ThornClan cats are undoubtedly the toughest cats in the Valley, given their terrain. Their territory is filled with thorny rose bushes and bramble, making it the least ideal battleground for the other Clans. However, the ThornClan cats have very thick fur, protecting them from scratches. Because of this, in battle, ThornClan lures opponents onto their territory. ThornClan cats also have extremely sharp teeth, for the prey in their hunting grounds also have very thick skin.

GoldenClan cats live in a lush meadow. Because the ground there is so soft and the prey makes almost no sound, the GoldClan cats have developed a strong sense of hearing. It's almost impossible to sneak up on them in battle. However, GoldClan cats tend to be less muscular and more leaner, for they must chase down rabbits for food.

A deep, rugged hollow that the Clans meet at every full moon for a gathering. It lies at the center of all four territories, and includes a small stream. The Great Log, a huge fallen log on which the leaders sit, lays above the hollow, supported by the hills.

Loners are, unlike rogues, cats that Twolegs leave in the wilderness to die. These felines then wander through the landscape, seeking shelter. Eventually, they find an area for them to stay, generally an abandoned den or building. Hunting, they see few other cats, and know only their own territory. Their traits vary from friendly to mean, but they all know few skills in warfare, making them weak opponents for other cats. However, due to walking aimlessly for a few days before finding shelter, their survival skills can be rivalled by only the rogues.

Quite singular in style and most essentially cruel, these cats tend to pick the most brutal ways of killing their prey. They generally stay away from other felines, but when they do meet, a blood bath usually ensues. Countless of these cats were either thrown out of a clan, left simply because they did not agree with their superiors, or a Twoleg who had previously owned them abused them until they ran away. After leaving, they hone their skills in the unforgiving wilderness. This gives them a large mass of battle tactics that can render the most harmful beast incapicipated.
